The police are presently conducting an investigation concerning the death of US former attorney Jessica Aber who was found dead in her apartment in Virginia on Saturday morning (march 23 2025)
At 9:18 am on Saturday march 23 2025, the Virginia police received reports from her family members of an unresponsive woman. The woman was later identified AS Jessica Aber. Aber was nominated for the us attorney role in 2021 by former US President Joe Biden.
After Aber received this role, she held it until she resigned from her high-profile role, effective the day before the new US president, Donald Trump, was sworn into office.
The current US attorney for the eastern district of Virginia expressed how heartbroken he was when he learnt of the death of Aber who was his friend and also his former colleague. He also talked about how Aber was a great leader, mentor and prosecutor and one of the best in her brief time in the world.
Aber was a proud Virginian throughout her days and one inspiring information about her life was how she deeply loved EDVA and how EDVA also loved her back. She spent her whole life committed to fighting justice and that was her major motivation for going to law school. She was a great leader and will set an example to others and her legacy will always be remembered in Virginia for all her fights for crimes while she was alive.
Although the cause of her death remained unknown, Alex and Maria's police are making every possible progress in investigating the cause of her death which was announced by the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia.
When Jessica Aber was resigning which was a day before the Inauguration of the present United States President, President Donald Trump, she released a statement which read “I’ve had the privilege of spending my career as a prosecutor in the Eastern District of Virginia working alongside talented, hard-working public servants who manage matters affecting citizens here and across the world,”
“Concluding my service to the District as its U.S. Attorney has been an honour beyond measure. I am deeply grateful to Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine and to President Biden for the opportunity to lead this office, and to Attorney General Garland for his steadfast leadership. I am proud of the work we have done with our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to enforce the law and build community trust.”

Aber who was originally from California completed and received her law degree from Willam & Mary School of Law at the University of Richmond in 2006.
After her graduation from law school, Aber worked in the private sector and then proceeded to work n the US Attorneys office in the est district of Virginia in August 2021 after being pointed out by former president Joe Biden.
In her years of service, she investigated various cases such as financial fraud, public corruption violent crimes. From the year 2015 to 2016, Aber served as counsel to the Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice.
She also received the Assistant Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Service in 2019 from the Department of Justice.
