Bisola Ajimobi Kola-Daisi, the eldest child of late ex-Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi, has died aged 42, in united kingdom

Her husband wrote on social media, "The world lost a shining star. Bisola was not just my wife; she was my partner in every sense. Her spirit will endure through our children."

Her life and career before death:

She was a special adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Atiku Bagudu, prior to her death.

The deceased Bisola was Managing Director of Grandex Nigeria Ltd., a leading FMCG retail and wholesale chain established in 1984.

Family sources informed our correspondent that Bisola, who was the wife of businessperson Mr Kolapo Kola-Daisi, died on Thursday morning in the United Kingdom.

The reason for her death was not indicated.

Colleagues and friends who called her a beam of sunshine, always willing to offer a helping hand and motivate those around her, have been flooding tributes. 

We shall miss her strong personality and single focus on her family and company.

Now, the Ajimobi family must deal with the unthinkable loss of their beloved daughter while honoring her legacy in business and philanthropy. 

The family has not yet made any announcements on specifics on the funeral customs. 

Until her death, Bisola served as the special adviser to the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu.

Attestation from family and officials:

The media aide to the late governor, Mr. Bolaji Tunji, verified the sad news to journalists in Oyo State on Thursday.

"Yes. It has been confirmed," Tunji replied curtly, stating that the family would issue further details.

Bisola's death occurred nearly 5 years after her father's death. Senator Abiola Ajimobi, who was the former governor of Oyo State from 2011 to 2019, who deseased in June 2020 from difficulties related to COVID-19. 

Bisola's survivors include her mother, children, and husband, Chief Florence Ajimobi.
